One of my favorite things to do on Sunday mornings is get Starbucks with Mike, sit in our cozy living room and read cooking articles for inspiration. I was looking up Bon Appetit and came across the article, Chicken Soup for the Chilly Soul: 11 Comforting, Warm Recipes. Warm & comforting? Yes, please! We midwesterners need both of those things right now.
There are several soups that look delicious, but this recipe stood out to me since I already had most of the ingredients. The soup is gorgeous with those hints of dill and is surprisingly light for a comfort soup. The refreshing taste of lemon definitely brightens it up.
Soups can be easy to make, but can be a little challenging to shoot. Luckily, I like a challenge. This recipe gave me the chance to use my newest prop, a rustic bowl from Anthropologie, and some boards that I recently painted with some leftover sample paint. It's always fun to see what a new surface color and a new bowl will do to help bring a shoot to life. #propnerd
