Another restaurant feature is here!
This one happens to be one of my favorite oyster bars in the city of Chicago. For those of you who know me and my love of oysters, you can imagine my excitement to come in and shoot for Pearl Tavern.
Executive Chef Carlos and Sous Chef Matt know exactly what they’re doing. They offer a variety of east and west coast oysters to suit your mood and if you get time to go on a Monday or Tuesday, you’ll get to imbibe in one dozen oysters for the price of six! I love it! If oysters aren’t your thing, they have a lot of other tempting options on their menu as well. This post features oysters on the half shell, ceviche that’s made with halibut, scallops, shrimp and a nice kick of cherry peppers and last but not least, their Connecticut-style lobster roll which is generously stuffed with fresh chunks of lobster.
Pearl Tavern is one of my favorite oyster bars because I always enjoy the food and the casual, 1950’s-style decor and overall energy makes me feel like I’m stepping into a sweet, briny and salty-smooth world far away from the day-to-day routine. It’s always a good decision to go here and it’s conveniently located on the riverfront at 180 North Upper Wacker Drive in Chicago.
Be sure to check this place out! I’ll probably see you there!
